BENEFITS
Offers flamboyant deep flame-orange color for the summer garden. Excellent color background for the butterflies it attracts.

BLOOM SEASON & HABIT
Flame-orange petals surrounding a mahogany center from early to late summer. Grey-green leaves on bushy clumps.

LOCATION
Full sun. USDA Hardiness Zones 3 to 8; AHS Heat Zones 12 to 1. See our Growing Zones page to reference growing zones in your area.

USE
Front or middle of borders. Attracts butterflies. Good cut flower.

SIZE
24" tall by 18" wide. Use 4 plants per square yard.

CULTURE
Plant in average, well-drained soils. Tolerant of heat and drought. Continuous flowering without deadheading, but plants should be cut back hard when flowering is finished. Divide in spring every 2 to 3 years. Also see our General Planting Tips for more information.
