BENEFITS
No perennial garden is complete without an assortment of true winter-hardy Geraniums. Sturdy care-free plants enliven the border with a long show of vivid flowers.
BLOOM SEASON & HABIT
Dark purple-red flowers with darker centers most of summer. Foliage is clean, green and deeply cut, with bronze tints in spring, turning red in fall. Forms upright clumps.
LOCATION
Full sun or part shade. USDA Hardiness Zones 5 to 8; AHS Heat Zones 8 to 5.
USE
Sunny perennial border or rock garden. Great companion plants for many perennials and shrubs.
SIZE
Grows to 24" tall by 30" wide. Use 2 plants per square yard.
CULTURE
Tolerant of any well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Deadheading encourages repeat flowering and enhances appearance. Best time to divide is in spring.
