BENEFITS
True red, a precious pigment for the perennial gardener's palette, on low-growing, easy-care plants.

BLOOM SEASON & HABIT
Bright saucer-shaped flowers of true velvety red with bright golden stamens are displayed for months, from May into July. Spreading shrubby stems form low cushions of narrow, glossy, evergreen foliage. Often reblooms in fall.

LOCATION
Full sun. USDA Hardiness Zones 6 to 8; AHS Heat Zones 8 to 6.

USE
A natural for a sunny slope, rock garden, or edge of border. Effective as ground cover, or spilling over the rim of a raised bed.

SIZE
14" tall by 22" wide. Use 1 plant per square yard

CULTURE
Thrives in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun. Drought-tolerant once established. Deadheading helps prolong bloom. Cut stems back to foliage after flowering is done. Seldom bothered by pests or diseases.
