BENEFITS
Penstemons are considered to be among the loveliest of perennials. This variety features an unusual grape-purple color.

BLOOM SEASON & HABIT
Grape-colored flowers from early summer to mid-fall. Lush foliage on mounded clumps.

LOCATION
Full sun. USDA Hardiness Zones 9 to 10; AHS Heat Zones 9 to 1. See our Growing Zones page to reference growing zones in your area.

USE
Mid or back of border plantings, naturalized areas. Also nice for patio containers.

SIZE
28” tall by 18” wide. Use 4 plants per square yard.

CULTURE
Plant in well-drained soils. A light mulch in winter is helpful. Remove faded flower stalks to prolong bloom. Take cuttings in early fall for overwintering in colder zones. Can be divided in spring as needed. Also see our General Planting Tips for more information.
